Drone protection for industrial and critical facilities in Hungary

Layered drone detection for plants, energy and logistics sites and data centres in Hungary, and preparation for the drone defence plan under Government Decree 211/2025.

A drone over a plant, power station, logistics hub or data centre is rarely an accident. It may be industrial espionage, reconnaissance of your security measures, preparation for an incident – or a curious pilot. You can't tell in advance which, so it has to be identified.

For international groups operating sites in Hungary we work in English, and we can align local measures with group security policies.

Risks

  • Surveillance and data collection – technology, production lines, shipments, patrols and weak points in security
  • Disruption – collision or crash onto sensitive equipment, downtime
  • Sabotage or payload delivery – rare, but must be planned for
  • Smuggling – objects delivered into restricted areas

Regulation

Under Government Decree 211/2025 (VII. 17.), in force since July 2025, designated priority facilities must operate a counter-drone protection system based on a drone defence plan prepared by Hungary's Special Service for National Security (Nemzetbiztonsági Szakszolgálat). Drone defence plan – who it affects and what to do

If your site hasn't been designated, the risk still exists – and insurers, group security policies and EU rules on the resilience of critical entities increasingly ask about it.

Layered protection

A permanent site rarely gets by with a single sensor.

  • RF detection – recognises the drone–pilot radio link, identifies the type, often locates the pilot. More
  • Radar – detects drones flying pre-programmed routes in radio silence and tracks multiple targets at once. More
  • Optical and thermal cameras – confirmation, classification, evidence. More
  • Integration – one operating picture with your existing access control, CCTV and control room, with alert rules and logging. More

How we help

  • Site survey: airspace, terrain, buildings, radio background noise
  • Coverage and sensor placement concept
  • Preparing for the drone defence plan – data, documentation, liaison
  • Vendor-neutral specification, bid evaluation, field testing
  • Software integration with existing security systems
  • Response procedures and training
