Independent counter-drone advisory

Counter-drone protection in Hungary – vendor-neutral and within the law

Independent, vendor-neutral counter-drone (C-UAS) advisory in Hungary for events, security companies, industrial and critical facilities, and public authorities – within Hungarian law.

A camera drone can be bought in any electronics store and be over an event, an industrial site or a protected person within minutes. The question is no longer whether it will happen, but whether you will notice in time – and whether you know what you are legally allowed to do.

dronvedelem.hu is an independent advisory site. We don't represent a single manufacturer: we help you assess the risk, understand the technology, choose what fits your site, and navigate Hungarian regulation. For international companies operating in Hungary, we work fully in English.

Who we help

Event organisers – festivals, sports events, conferences and open-air events where crowds, broadcast rights and high-profile guests make the airspace a vulnerability. → Event security

Security companies and close protection teams – guarded sites, residences and VIP programmes where a drone becomes a surveillance tool. → Security companies

Industrial and critical facilities – plants, energy and logistics sites, data centres, where a drone can mean industrial espionage, disruption or sabotage. → Critical facilities

Public authorities – police, prison service, armed forces: independent technical advice, market knowledge, specifications and field-test methodology. → Authorities

The one thing everyone should know

In Hungary, detecting and identifying drones is open to private operators. Active mitigation – jamming, taking over control or bringing a drone down – is reserved for state bodies authorised by law.

A sound counter-drone concept therefore has two parts: what you can do yourself, and what has to be done in cooperation with the authorities. Details: The legal framework in Hungary

How we work

  1. Risk assessment – what needs protecting, from whom, in what airspace and what radio environment.
  2. Concept – layered detection (RF, radar, optical, acoustic), alert chain and response procedure.
  3. Vendor-neutral procurement support – specification, bid comparison, field testing at your own site.
  4. Rollout and training – staff preparation, exercises, documentation.

Technology, explained

Counter-drone protection is not one device but a system of complementary sensors and decisions. Our knowledge base explains how they work, without the marketing:
